NEWMARKET, Ont. – A woman was taken to a local hospital after a fire broke out at a Newmarket home.
There is no word on the extent of her injuries.
Nearby homes in the neighbourhood were evacuated, York Regional Police told CityNews.
The fire erupted at around 11 p.m. on Newbury Drive, near Davis Drive and Yonge Street.
