A peaceful demonstration is planned for outside the U.S. consulate in Toronto Saturday afternoon.

Protesters plan to protest against the film “Innocence of Muslims” starting at 2:30 p.m.

The YouTube video has sparked protests around the the world because of it’s offensive portrayal of the prophet Mohammed.

Saturday’s protest is being organized by the Muslim Congress and Canadians Against Blasphemy.

Meanwhile, a Canadian man who is now wanted in Egypt for allegedly being involved with the film appeared at a Scarborough press conference earlier this afternoon.

Nader Fawzy, who has been in Canada for ten years, says he was placed on a list that incorrectly linked to the film, and says he now fears for the safety of himself and his children.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest in Egypt.

He said he has now spoken with Toronto police about some sort of protection after he said he received very little help from the federal government.
