MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – A 39-year-old man, a prime suspect in his wife’s homicide, was arrested on Wednesday, Peel Regional Police said.
The body of Aicha Saludares, 40, was found on Sept. 8 with obvious signs of trauma in an apartment at 480 Lakeshore Rd. E. in Mississauga. Police have not revealed a cause of death.
An arrest warrant was issued for her husband, whom police considered a primary suspect in her death.
Nelson Tayongtong, 39, was arrested on Wednesday and faces a second-degree murder charge.
He is scheduled to appear at a Brampton courthouse on Wednesday.
