TORONTO, Ont. – The 13-year-old boy caught in the crossfire during the Eaton Centre shooting is doing well, and actually threw out the first pitch at the Toronto Blue Jays game Sunday afternoon at the Rogers Centre.
Port Hope, Ont.-native Connor Stevenson couldn’t wipe the smile off his face as he tossed the first ball.
He also got to meet third basemen Brett Lawrie, who was also at the mall when shots rang out on June 1.
The Grade 9 student had to undergo brain surgery after the shooting, and had to wear a helmet to protect his skull afterwards.
