TORONTO, Ont. – The man found dead on an Etobicoke lawn early Sunday is Edwin Villan of Toronto, Toronto police said on Monday.
The 33-year-old’s body was found in front of a home on Midden Crescent, near The Westway and Martin Grove Road, at around 7 a.m.
Police said the victim was shot in the head.
Investigators are seeking the help of the public to determine Villan’s activities and whereabouts early Sunday morning.
Police are looking for a male suspect, described as white, 30 to 40 years old, who is approximately 5-foot-10 to 6-foot tall and 180-200 pounds in connection with the case.
He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt, a light-coloured beige baseball cap and beige pants.
On Sunday, police released a description of a vehicle wanted in connection with the case.
The vehicle is described as late-model, dark-coloured Silverado or Sierra, with aftermarket rims and tires.
Police believe a damaged hubcap found at the scene belonged to the suspect’s vehicle.
