TORONTO, Ont. – The family of the TTC worker killed in a tragic accident last week has released a statement.

Peter Pavlovski, 49, died while working a shift on the tracks north of Yorkdale Station.

The road-master had been with the transit commission for 22 years.

The full statement reads:

“Our family is grieving the tragic and untimely death of our beloved Peter, together with countless others who had the privilege of knowing him. Peter was a dedicated father and a loving husband. He was a hard worker and generous to a fault. We appreciate the outpouring of grief from family, friends, neighbours and colleagues. We ask for your respect for our privacy in the difficult days ahead and for your continued prayers.”
