An elderly man has been taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in the city’s east end.

Police tell 680News the man was struck around 9 a.m. near Eglinton Avenue and Birchmount Road.

The 71-year-old man was unresponsive when reached by paramedics, but regained consciousness soon after.

The man suffered a head injury but police say he is in non-life-threatening condition.

Anyone who may have witnessed the event is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
