TORONTO, Ont. – Police are searching for two suspects after a student was robbed of his cell phone outside a school in Scarborough, Thursday afternoon.

Investigators allege just before 1 p.m., a suspect pulled up on a bicycle near Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary School and approached the student, who reported seeing the butt of a gun.

The suspect and a second man then fled the scene together on the bike.

Both are described as male, black, and in their late teens or early 20′s. One was armed with a switchblade.

Five schools were put into hold and secure for a short time as a result of the incident. They included Lord Roberts, Hunters Glen Junior Public School, St. Albert’s, Jean Vanier and Bendale BTI.

The victim did not sustain any injuries.
