An industrial accident at a construction site south of Bolton has left a 62-year-old man dead.

Caledon OPP told 680News police, fire and EMS crews were called to the scene just after 12:40 Thursday afternoon at 1 Marconi Court, just west of Highway 50 and north of Mayfield Road.

“The Ministry of Labour has been contacted and is on scene,” Sergeant Brenda Evans said, adding that the man’s name would not be released until next of kin notification.

Meanwhile, Peel EMS told CityNews channel that the man was killed when the forklift he was working on tipped over.
