TORONTO, Ont. – A report of concrete falling from the Gardiner Expressway, Tuesday, was probably false, police have confirmed.
Police told 680News they could find no evidence of a piece of concrete falling off the Expressway.
A driver said he saw the grapefruit-sized chunk of concrete fall in front of his car, on the on-ramp to the westbound Gardiner, Tuesday.
“No damage — it didn’t hit my car, thank goodness. But it is there on the road — it’s one small little chunk,” he said.
Work crews have been called out several times this year to look into reports of concrete falling from the Expressway.
