TORONTO, Ont. – The president of the city’s outside workers’ union said he won’t be stepping down after all.
Earlier in 2012, CUPE local 416 boss Mark Ferguson announced he was going to step down in November, but now said he’ll run again this fall.
He said his motivation is to stick around for the 2014 municipal elections.
Ferguson was criticized from both sides before the outside workers’ contract was reached in February — the Ford administration as well as paramedics.
