MILTON, Ont. – Family and friends of a father and son found dead in a Milton, Ont. semi-detached house are trying to come to terms with what Halton Regional Police have ruled a murder-suicide. 

Wojciech Kosalka, 43, killed his son, Noah Kosalka, 6, before committing suicide.

Police concluded the deaths were a murder-suicide but will not release the cause of the deaths.

The incident began when Halton’s homicide unit was called to the home on Clark Boulevard, near Thompson Road South and Derry Road West, around 1:20 p.m.

“A call was received by 911 asking for police as well as ambulance to an address on Clark Boulevard in Milton,” said Sgt. Dave Cross. “Officers arrived shortly thereafter and located the bodies of two deceased persons within the residence.”

Members of the homicide bureau, forensic identification services and criminal-investigation officers were on scene.

Friends and teachers at Guardian Angels Catholic School remembered the 6-year-old child.

“It’s a tragic loss for all of us,” Camillo Cipriano, the school’s principal told CityNews.

“We’re saddened, deeply saddened.”
