The owner of a cruise ship which crashed on Lake Simcoe over the weekend blames a mechanical issue on board for the incident.
A total of 12 people suffered injuries when the Serendipity Princess ran into a dock on Barrie’s Kempenfelt Bay as it was slowing down to come to a stop.
The ship’s owner said the problem was traced back to a faulty cable inside the ship’s mechanical system.
The vessel was expected to be back in operation on Wednesday.
