Those living in the Steeles and Keele area might hear a little more noise through the overnight hours for the next little while.

The TTTC and city contractors have begun working on the subway expansion around the clock, as the Yonge-University-Spadina line is extended beyond Downsview Station through York University, up to Vaughan.

The overnight work began on Tuesday and will continue for the rest of the week.

The project completion date is set for 2015.
