MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – A motorcycle driver has died following a collision with a minivan on Dundas Street near Argyle Road, Friday, just after 8:30 p.m.

Peel Police arrived at the scene to find the male motorcyclist in the middle of the road without vital signs. He was pronounced dead by emergency crews.

“He was vital signs absent and he was later pronounced on scene,” confirmed Peel Constable George Tudos.

The driver of the van stayed on scene and is cooperating with police, but there has been no word on charges.

“At this point, our major collisions bureau are on scene also and they are going to be doing a thorough investigation, and we’re going to be trying to piece together exactly what happened,” Tudos told 680News.

“It is a busy area here with both pedestrian and vehicular traffic, so we are canvassing for any witnesses,” he added. “If there are, they can contact the major collisions bureau.”

The area was closed to traffic for the investigation but has since re-opened.
