Two Toronto-area men are unharmed after their boat sank in Lake Simcoe, Friday afternoon.
According to police reports, the men were in the water near the Big Bay Point area when a wave came over the stern of the boat and filled it with water.
The men did not have time to locate their life jackets and were forced to jump out of the sinking vessel, using a set of boat seats and a plastic cooler as flotation devices.
As the pair began to swim the near one kilometre distance to shore, they were spotted by a passing boater who took them aboard and drove them the rest of the way.
Police say the boat is a write-off.
