TORONTO, Ont. – A four-year-old boy is in hospital, Friday, with life-threatening injuries after falling from a fifth-floor apartment at Markham and Ellesmere in Scarborough.
Police were called to 2 Meadow Glen around 2 p.m. and the child was rushed to hospital, where surgery was performed.
The boy remains in critical condition.
Investigators told 680News while they are looking into the circumstances which led up to the incident, they don’t anticipate any charges will be laid.
The fall appears to be accidental and no foul play is suspected.
