Paul Ryan, the man who wants to be the next vice-president of the United States, is getting mixed reviews for his speech at the Republican Convention Wednesday night.
The speech was the big warm-up for Mitt Romney’s speech Thursday night, where he will formally accept the party’s nomination.
During his speech, Ryan took direct aim at Obama’s economic performance.
Ryan made it clear the Republican strategy for the election is to make it about the economy and not foreign policy. Attacking the economic record of Barack Obama, Ryan said Romney would be able to change the fortunes of the nation.
“Without a change in leadership, why would the next four years be any different from the last four years,” Ryan said.
There has been a big buzz all week long that a mystery speaker will take to the stage before Mitt Romney Thursday.
Fox News is reporting that speaker will be Clint Eastwood, although that hasn’t been confirmed independently by the Republicans.
