TORONTO, Ont. – Police are searching for a suspect following a sexual assault in the Barton Avenue and Euclid Avenue area, Tuesday evening.
Police say a 16-year-old girl was walking along Barton Avenue when she noticed a man standing at the intersection of Barton and Christie Street.
The girl continued to walk east on Barton. The man, meanwhile, crossed the street and walked directly behind her. As she continued walking toward Palmerston, the man sexually assaulted her.
The girl screamed and the man fled the scene, running westbound on Barton.
The suspect is described as black, 20 to 30 years old, 5’7″ to 5’9″, with a heavy build and short black hair. He was wearing a light coloured T-shirt, longer red shorts with a white vertical line down the side.
