TORONTO, Ont. – A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault which occurred in the Dundas and Keele area earlier this month.

Police allege a 30-year-old woman met the suspect on Saturday August 4. The two had conversed over a social media website used by people wanting to meet others to assist them in learning another language.

Investigators say the man used a false name and took the woman to a bar. He provided her with alcoholic drinks, and then took her to his home where he allegedly forcibly confined and sexually assaulted her.

Ahmed Alakozay, of Toronto, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with one count each of sexual assault and forcible confinement. He was scheduled to make a court appearance on Wednesday.

Police believe there may be other victims and are asking anyone with information to call them at 416-808-7474 or 416-808-8406, or to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.222tips.com.
