A Thornhill woman in a coma in a Croatia hospital could be home by the end of this week, according to The Toronto Star.
Anna Leibenko, 24, suffered a head injury while on vacation two weeks ago and was rushed to hospital in Croatia. She did not have insurance.
Family and friends have been trying to raise the money needed to transfer her back to the Toronto area via air ambulance.
As of Wednesday morning, $132,000 had been raised. Her family hopes the donations continue, as they are nearing what they need to bring her home.
