CityTV Tech expert Mike Yawney tells 660News don’t be fooled by those flyers popping up in your mailbox, advertising computing devices at rock bottom prices, he says he you get what you pay for.
Yawney says almost as important as the devices computing power and screen resolution is how much it weighs, adding your child doesn’t need a few extra pounds in their backpack.
He says the Apple IPad is a good choice, but if your looking to save some serious cash, see if you can track down the Google Nexus 7 tablet.
Yawney is also not a fan of extended warranties, he says most manufacturers already offer a warranty , describing the additional coverage as nothing more than a cash grab.
