OSHAWA, Ont. – Durham regional police say a 31-year-old man wanted in the Oshawa area for 25 offences has been arrested near Montreal.
Police say the man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for charges including robbery and dangerous driving has been returned to Oshawa to face the charges.
Police say the man escaped on foot on Tuesday following a high-speed pursuit during which the fleeing car struck another vehicle.
Investigators say they tracked the man to the Montreal area, and obtained a Canada-wide warrant for charges in Durham Region, including theft, and a knifepoint robbery in Oshawa.
Donald Blake is in custody awaiting a bail hearing on charges that include robbery, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and nine counts of fraud under five thousand dollars.
