An online petition is calling for Premier Dalton McGuinty to enact laws to protect animals at Marineland.

More than 30,000 people have signed the petition on change.org, asking that something be done after animal neglect was reported at the park, located in Niagara Falls.

The petition was launched by a former Marineland trainer and spread quickly on Twitter, being retweeted by celebrities such as former Montreal Canadiens star Georges Laraque.
