VAUGHAN, Ont. – It just got a lot easier to apply for an overnight on-street parking permit for visitors in Vaughan thanks to a new feature on the city’s website.
“This new service is all about ease and accessibility,” said Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua.
“Not everyone can visit City Hall during regular business hours,” he said. “These permits can now be obtained online in just a matter of minutes at any time of day.”
In addition to bringing the service to the web, the City of Vaughan has waived the five dollar overnight parking permit fee.
The City also increased the number of permits allowed each month from five per household to five per vehicle.
“This is an efficient way to save our residents both time and money,” said City Manager Clayton Harris.
“By bringing this application online, we’ve made obtaining a parking permit a 24-hour, seven day a week service. It’s a practical and convenient way for both residents and visitors to obtain the on-street parking permit they need.”
The permits can also be obtained in person at Vaughan City Hall or by telephone at no cost.
