TORONTO, Ont. – A police pursuit went awry Sunday, when a woman fled from Toronto police, eventually crashing her vehicle.
Police say alcohol is likely a factor in the crash, which happened near Church and Shuter streets around 6:45 a.m.
Police were pursuing the driver for an alleged traffic violation, but she evaded the stop, eventually crashing into a wall and hydro pole, witnesses told CityNews.
The driver was taken to hospital. No other injuries were reported.
