TORONTO, Ont. – A pair of Toronto police officers were luckily not sitting in their cruiser early Saturday morning, when a vehicle crashed into the parked police car.
The officers were on a call in the Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue area, when their car, which was parked outside a building, was allegedly struck by a drunk driver.
“I was here along with another officer investigating a different incident when a vehicle hit our police car,” Sgt. Harold Chow told CityNews.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured but was taken into custody and faces charges of impaired driving.
Police say alcohol was likely a factor in the crash.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
