TORONTO, Ont. – In their 7-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox Thursday night, the Toronto Blue Jays used six players who started the season with their Triple-A affiliate, the Las Vegas 51s.

It now appears, however, that some relief from the injury bug may be in sight, with three injured Toronto regulars expected to soon be back with the team.

The injury bug has seen a multitude of Jays’ players go down this season, including superstar slugger Jose Bautista, young stars Brett Lawrie and JP Arencibia and top pitcher Brandon Morrow.

Injuries have also taken down pitchers Kyle Drabek, Drew Hutchison, Luis Perez and Jason Frasor.

However, by the time the Jays begin a series in Detroit next Tuesday, Bautista, Lawrie and Morrow are all expected to be available.

Bautista has been lost to the team since July 16 during which time the Jays have gone 10-18.

Lawrie, meanwhile, will play some rehab games for Dunedin this weekend.

Morrow, who hasn’t played since straining an oblique muscle, is expected to start for the Jays next Friday night in Baltimore.
