TORONTO, Ont. – A tropical storm is forming in the Atlantic just east of Bermuda and is expected to become a hurricane by this weekend.
Tropical storm Gordon has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometres per hour but that is expected to change.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center said Gordon is expected to strengthen over the next two days and become a hurricane.
The storm isn’t a threat to Eastern Canada and the U.S. Meanwhile, tropical depression Hector is weakening in the Pacific and is expected to become remnants later Thursday.
