TORONTO, Ont. – Home inspectors are now required to be registered and qualified before doing their jobs.
There will be an announcement on national standards for the training and education of home inspectors soon, The Toronto Sun has reported.
Currently, Canadian home inspectors are not regulated.
Inspectors will have to undergo an intensive and in-depth peer review and will have their previously-completed home inspections reviewed.
