TORONTO, Ont. – The Canadian National Exhibition opens Friday, and for the first time in 41 years, a ticket to the EX won’t get you into Ontario Place as well.
Ontario Place closed in February and the province is considering its future.
The CNE’s general manager told the Toronto Star organizers will be watching closely to see if the closure of Ontario Place has any impact on admissions to the EX.
CNE organizers are predicting around 1.4 million visitors will enjoy this year’s fair.
The event, which is Canada’s largest annual fair, runs until Sept. 3.
