TORONTO, Ont. – The Canadian Auto Workers Union will be making one of its affiliates a happy camper this fall.
The union said its automakers deserve to share in the healthy profits the industry is now enjoying.
This comes after the CAW made concessions during the 2008-2009 recession.
The union will be announcing which automaker will be targeted first of its latest round of bargaining.
Speculations among experts at the University of Windsor are that Chrysler might be chosen because it has the largest footprint of the Detroit big three.
Chrysler has assembly plants in Windsor and Brampton and a casting plant in Toronto.
