TORONTO, Ont. – A missing 12-year-old girl has been located after her mother turned herself in to police on Tuesday.
Police say Dystani Heng was located around 7 p.m., Wednesday.
There has been no word on where the girl was located but police told CityNews she appears to be in good health.
Her mother, Veasna Heng, 31, has been charged with abducting her during a parental visit nearly a month ago.
They had been spotted in the Jane and Finch area on July 16.
Veasna was charged with abduction in contravention of a custody order and appeared in court Tuesday morning.
