The TTC is getting ready to choose performers that entertain Torontonians each day in the subways.
This weekend beginning Friday, tryouts are being held at the CNE for the 34th annual TTC subway musicians auditions.
The auditions began in 1979 where eight stations were designated for the six-month project, special events representative Jane Gerofalo said.
Up to 200 performers will audition for the 74 licences. The music is as diverse as the musicians themselves, according to Gerofalo.
Musicians who are interested in auditioning should log on to ttc.ca for more information on the choosing criteria.
