Trash bins are still overflowing in High Park, a week since private contractor “Green For Life” took over service west of Yonge Street.
According to the National Post, the new privatized garbage pick-up company has generated more than 1,000 complaints in the first week, more than five times the typical number of weekly complaints about trash pick-up.
“Green For Life” has said it needs at least six weeks to get the bugs out of their new service.
The City has announced it is willing to give them a month.
