Police are looking for a suspect in an alleged sexual assault in east-end Toronto.

They said a 22-year-old woman was walking in the Ellesmere Road and Military Trail area at about 3 a.m. on Wednesday when a man approached her from behind.

According to the police, the man threatened the woman while holding a knife to her throat before forcing her into a nearby wooded area and sexually assaulting her.

The suspect reportedly took the woman’s iPod before leaving the area.

Police are looking for a suspect described as having a dark black complexion, in his mid-20s and about six feet tall.

He was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up and black pants.
