TORONTO, Ont. – A 35-year-man has been charged with second-degree murder after a woman’s body was found in an apartment building in the city’s east end.
Police were called to the building on Sewells Road, located in the Neilson Road and Sheppard Avenue East area, just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators found a 29-year-old with obvious signs of trauma, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man charged, Peter Gulyas, is scheduled to appear in court at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Police haven’t released the victim’s name, and are not commenting on the relationship between the two.
