TORONTO, Ont. – A teen has died and another is in serious condition after the two were pulled from Lake Ontario near a water-filtration plant in the city’s east end.
It’s believed the two teens had been camping in the area, near Queen Street and Victoria Park Avenue, when they decided to go for a swim, possibly using some sort of tube flotation device.
Soon after a passerby noticed one of teens’ bodies floating in the water and called police.
Emergency officials located both teens and, after attempting to revive them, they were rushed to hospital without vital signs.
There has been no word on what may have gone wrong for the teens.
