680News content is now available for Android devices, one of the only Toronto newsrooms to have apps for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android.

The 680News Android application lets you listen to 680News live, brings you up-to-the-minute news, live weather updates, and business reports with a quick tap on your touchscreen.

You can also listen to the very latest traffic report and view live streams of our traffic cameras  – letting you set “favourite” cameras to easily set your route into work before you head out the door.

According to a recent study by research firm IDC, Android is the most-used mobile operating system in the world. IDC says that Android was on 59 per cent smartphones sold during the first quarter of 2012. Apple’s iOS had 23 per cent market share during the quarter followed by Symbian, BlackBerry, Linux and Windows Phone 7.
