A 36-year-old woman is in hospital after an SUV crashed into a gym in Halton Hills.
Halton regional police say a Ford Expedition SUV smashed through the glass window of the Atlantis Athletics and Fitness Centre at Mountainview Road and Guelph Street around 12:30 p.m., Tuesday.
The female employee of the gym was at the reception desk eating her lunch when the SUV came smashing through the foyer.
She was pushed through the foyer and through a wall into a rear office area, being pinned underneath the vehicle when it came to a stop.
Fire crews were able to rescue the woman after about 45-minutes.
She was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The 33-year-old driver of the SUV and her 19-month-old son were not injured.
Police say alcohol was not a factor. No word on if charges will be laid.
