8,000 gay marriage licenses issued in the big apple

More than 8,000 same-sex marriage licenses have been issued since New York State legalized gay marriage last year.
The city’s tourism office said the boom in wedding bells has netted the city over $250-million in wedding receptions and honeymoons.
