TORONTO, Ont. – A 14-year-old girl is in hospital after being hit by a car in Etobicoke, Tuesday.
The incident happened at around 7:45 a.m. while she was crossing Finch Avenue West, near Islington Avenue.
Toronto police told 680News the girl suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating, but at this point, it looks like the girl might not have been crossing at a crosswalk.
Police have been speaking with the driver, and are also appealing for witnesses.
Finch was closed between Islington and Milady Road, but has since reopened.
