TORONTO, Ont. – The intersection of Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue is slowly getting back to normal after being closed for two weeks due to TTC construction.
Northbound Spadina is fully open, but only one lane on southbound Spadina is open. Only one westbound lane and one eastbound lane is open on Queen.
Buses are scheduled to run on Spadina until the fall for other TTC work. Details here
People have been using Dundas, Richmond, Adelaide and King streets as alternates. Bathurst and University streets are alternate north and southbound routes.
The TTC construction included rebuilding streetcar tracks — which are at least 15 years old — and the concrete platforms to accommodate the new longer streetcars. The overhead wires were also replaced.
