BRAMPTON – Police have identified the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that killed 80-year-old Joginder Singh.

Police say Singh was struck and killed on July 16 as he was walking to a local temple.

The vehicle fled the scene, leaving Mr. Singh lying in the roadway.

Police examined security video from the temple in at attempt to determine the make of the vehicle involved in the collision.

Investigators have identified the vehicle as a black 1999 or 2000 Honda Civic. The vehicle, had the front left corner of its bumper skin torn off near the front left wheel.

Police have released an image of a similar vehicle with damage.

Police are asking the public, repair shops, wreckers and mechanics that if any customer attends with a vehicle with similar damage, or is ordering a front bumper fascia, to contact the Major Collision Bureau.

Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are also appealing to the driver of the vehicle that struck Mr. Singh to contact them at 905-453-2121, extension 3710.
