TORONTO, Ont. – There will be several road closures in effect this weekend in the city, with numerous events and festivals planned.

If you’re going to be downtown it’s recommended you plan your route accordingly to avoid the closures, or take transit to completely avoid the congestion.

Details on events and closures are below:

Big on Bloor

  • Bloor Street from Dufferin Street to Lansdowne Avenue will be closed in both directions on Sunday, from 12 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.


Fusion of Taste

  • Albion Road from Islington Avenue to Thistledown Boulevard will be closed from Saturday at 6 a.m. to Sunday at 1 a.m.


Toronto Triathlon Festival

  • Eastbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway from the Humber River to the Don Valley Parkway, and the northbound lanes of the Don Valley Parkway from the Gardiner Expressway to Eglinton Avenue, will be closed on Sunday, from 2 a.m. until noon.


Youth Day 2012

  • Yonge Street from Queen Street to Dundas Street will be closed in both directions on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
