People are reaching out online for support and to find information after a mass shooting at a Colorado movie theatre. The shooting happened at a midnight screening of “The Dark Knight Rises.”

The story of one young victim has become very public, because of her use of social media.

Jessica Ghawi – an aspiring sportscaster who used the last name Redfield  -  was tweeting from the movie theatre in Colorado before she was killed.

In a bizarre twist, it seems Jessica was caught in the aftermath of a shooting last month. According to her blog, she had been at Toronto’s Eaton Centre June 2,  when a gunman opened fire in the food court.

In her final blog post titled “Late night thoughts on the Eaton Centre Shooting” she said, “I was shown how fragile life was on Saturday. I saw the terror on bystanders’ faces. I saw the victims of a senseless crime. I saw lives change. I was reminded that we don’t know when or where our time on earth will end.”

One of her final tweets read, “I never thought I’d have to coerce a guy into seeing the midnight showing of the Dark Knight Rises with me.”

She stopped tweeting 20 minutes before the show began.

People have been going online to show support and organize new information being released about the victims.

A Facebook group called, “The Aurora Theatre Shooting” has been set up for people to post updates and information.

Administrators said the page would be used to share resources and figure out what can be done to help victims and family.
