Toronto, Ont. – Toronto police said they believe a fatal shooting last night at an Etobicoke soccer field was an isolated incident.
Clayton Wright, 42, of Mississauga died in the shooting, which occurred at around 10 p.m. Tuesday on Emmett Avenue, located in the Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue West area.
Detective Sergeant Wayne Banks said police responded to numerous 911 calls from the area at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
He said they have received good co-operation from the public as they probe the incident.
Toronto police continue to investigate, and there’s no word on suspects.
