TORONTO, Ont. – A 49-year-old pedestrian is dead after he was struck while crossing Eglinton Avenue near Brimley Road.
The man was rushed to hospital with what police describe as massive trauma, where he was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
The man was struck by a 24-year-old woman driving a Honda Civic westbound on Eglinton Avenue.
There has been no word on any charges and police say the investigation by Traffic Services continues.
There have been some reports that the man may not have been crossing at a light or designated crossing.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
