Durham police are investigating after a woman says she was grabbed by a man as she walked on a street in Pickering.

Police say it happened just after 10 p.m., Thursday, on Glennana Road near Bronte Square.

It is alleged that the 19-year-old woman was walking along the street when she noticed a man walking behind her. She attempted to cross to the other side of the street when the man grabbed her inappropriately.

The woman screamed and the suspect let her go.

He is described as male, white, 17-18 years old, about 5’6″ with a thin build, slender face, pale skin and light eyebrows. He was wearing a light coloured baseball hat with a dark rim, navy blue basketball shorts and a white T-Shirt. He was carrying a black back-pack.
