Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have signed a divorce settlement hammered out by their lawyers, the attorney for Holmes told CNN.

While no details of their agreement are public, the former couple have released a joint statement saying they are “working together” in the “best interests” of their young daughter.

Holmes filed for divorce, seeking sole custody of the couple’s six-year-old daughter, Suri, on June 28. She has been married to Cruise for five years.

Holmes’ attorney Jonathan Wolfe thanked Cruise’s lawyers “for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about the speedy resolution.

Cruise’s publicist  gave CNN a statement that she said was prepared jointly by Cruiseand Holmes,
it reads: “We are committed to working together as parents to accomplishing what is in our daughter Suri’s best interests. We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other’s commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other’s roles as parents.”
